New record for Murcia. This species was already reported by Alcaraz et al. (1982) and Ros & Guerra (1987). However after revision of the only (badly preserved) specimen kept at MUB, the specimen was referred to Brachythecium sp. and therefore excluded of the checklist of Murcia (Cano et al. 2004). The new records support the presence of this species in the territory.
