Previous records: Alcaraz et al. (1982); Ros & Llimona (1984); Ros & Guerra (1987); Sánchez-Moya & Cano (1999); Rams et al. (2000). This species was reported under the genus Anisothecium by Alcaraz et al. (1982), Ros & Llimona (1984) and Ros & Guerra (1987). Apparently this combination was never formally published.
